Description: In this work, the synthetic strategy used for the construction of two N-benzyloxyphthalimides and their reactivity tendences in electroreductive conditions is reported. The synthesized substrates were completely characterized by spectroscopic techniques and their electrochemical behavior was analyzed using cyclic voltammetry. Bulk electrolysis experiments were carried out in one of the substrates and demonstrated that reactivity changes drastically depending on the solvent used. As well, using electrodes or additives that controls the oxidation reaction taking place at the anode also showed to modify the observed reactivity.
